Up for this auction is a 4/4 cello I got it in France where I live, and from a private former player who asked me to sell it for him.
This is a very nice French cello with 2 labels inside, one is a classic Stradivarius label, the other is a JEROME THIBOUVILLE-LAMY label, as this cello was made in the early 1900's in Mirecourt-France. The cello is also stamped "JTL" on the upper block inside, as pictured... This exceptional instrument is in a good used condition, sound-post is in place, no existing crack as per my inspection except a little line (repaired) at the very bottom side, as pictured specifically. Of course it will need some adjustments and new equipment to be live again, as you can see on numerous pictures.
Length of the back is 75,8 cm. Very light instrument with superb woods.
Note that I tried to photograph the item as honestly as possibl.
